The Most Scenic Journeys in Switzerland ๐Ÿš†โ›ต

Hi Reader,
โ€‹
Hope you are having a fantastic start to your week.

Few places make travel as easy as Switzerland. From panoramic trains crossing the Alps to boats sailing across the numerous lakes, getting around is part of the adventure when you visit Switzerland!

These are some of our favourite scenic journeys in Switzerland that you can easily do as part of a trip here in any season:

๐Ÿ“ŒMount Rigi trip - Boat, train and cable car, you get all the public transport options on this trip from Lucerne!

๐Ÿ“ŒMount Pilatus - Lake cruise, cogwheel train and cable car, another one with a variety of transport options and another great option for a trip from Lucerne.

๐Ÿ“ŒLegends of Lake Lucerne Cruise - This 4 hour steamboat cruise with five course dinner is one of the best things you can do to learn all about the history around Lake Lucerne. We have a full breakdown of this experience on our website here.

๐Ÿ“ŒLucerne Interlaken Express - Our favourite train journey that passes between Lucerne and Interlaken, taking 2 hours and passing past bright blue lakes, mountain vistas and cute alpine villages.

๐Ÿ“ŒGoldenPass Express - From Montreux to Interlaken, (or vice versa), this 3 hour 15 minute train journey passes through some of the most beautiful areas of Switzerland. If you are lucky you may even end up on the Belle Epoque train with its stunning historic interior. Get 5% off this Rail Journey on the Switzerland Travel Centre with code AFFTEDALDIโ€‹

๐Ÿ“ŒBernina Express or the Glacier Express - We can't write this list and not mention the Bernina Express or Glacier Express! These both need booking well in advance in order to secure a seat, but as two of the most well known train journeys in Switzerland you know it is worth it! Get 5% off both the Bernina Express and the Glacier Express with code AFFTEDALDI.

Another bonus about all of these trips (bar the Legends of Lake Lucerne) is that you can use a Saver Day Pass as a ticket for all or at least some of your travel, (seat reservations have to be paid separately). So it really is easy to explore Switzerland entirely by public transport: no car required!
